Thought this might be of interest

During the China-Burma-India Campaign of WWII, 2nd Lt. Philip Adair of the 89th Fighter Squadron, 'The Burma Banshees', flying his P-40N-1 Lulu-Belle, single handedly attacked a force of 24 Japanese bombers and 35 fighters on their way to bomb the American airfield at Nagaghuli, India. Alone, he disrupted them before they could reach their target, and received the Silver Star for his heroics.

We now have access to some of his photos from those days, a followup to an earlier report on the Banshees.
