happy thanksgiving to all!! :drink3: as an alternative this year my wife & i are doing 1 lb lobster tails, screw the bird!! :finga: we usually do the traditional thanksgiving thing with my own kids, but they won't be here this year, so the fuss & mess are eliminated. lobsters are simple but delicious.

Happy Turkey Day Everybody! :drink3:

Me and the Significant Other are going over to a freind's place..he always puts on a big spread for whoever shows up, usually about 15 or 20 of us. We've already got two turkeys in the freezer..one of them's his, and the other was given to the SO by her employer last year. Both will be contributed to the big shindig. Gotta move them to the fridge tonight..it'll be nice to have our freezer back! The SO told her employer to donate this year's bird to the food bank.

Moving all my "worldly possessions" to my new home over the weekend! UGH!

Oh man, I can sympathize! Just finished moving myself a couple of weeks ago (fortunately just across town.) I'd been in my little bachelor apartment for 15 years..but had no idea how much crap I'd accumulated (including about 350 model kits!) 8)

I too wish everyone a safe & happy Thanksgiving. My wife will be off to Tenn. to spend it with her family. I have to stay here in HotLanta & work. I think I can mannage a few days without adult supervision. :badpc:

Hey, that's my dad's Kubel!

Seriously, dad maintained two Kubels during his time in North Africa, one was his and his lieutenant drove the other. One of his favorite stories was the exchange rate for Jeep/Kubel transactions. He and his guys (maintenance battalion, First Armored Division) would rebuild two Jeeps (with missing data plates  ) and "trade" them for one Kubel. The VW was preferred transportation as it was so much lighter and harder to get stuck, even though only two-wheel drive.

Oh, Happy Thanksgiving for turkey lovers everywhere.
