Those are probably ivory grips. According to Patton, only pimps carried pearl handled pistols ! :lol:

Mudge, I believe the "New Orleans pimps " have since relocated since Katrina. Those pearl handles could be anywhere now ! :shock:

Yeah, Jack, most of the pearl handled revolvers that left New Orleans came to Houston, and I believe there's a bunch of them still HERE !!

What P-47s had the mirror?

The P-47 in the picture looks like a razorback, but I can't see enough to identify which version (B,C,D,G) it is. Does someone know anymore about this airplane and in particular when P-47s started using the side mounted mirrors?
