Wow, Great Stuff, thanks for posting...
I actually have a DVD with some AAF Fighter Pilots giving the same type of interviews right after the fun filled D-Day Mission. They're still wearing thier cruddy D-Day flight gear, etc. However, They all have that exact same loss for words & "Deer in the Headlights" attitude & phoney baloney "We'll Gettem' Next Time Boys" speeches as seen in these B-17 interviews. A real shame They didn't have more to say, but You can still imagine some of the
incredible sights & sounds they must have seen just a few hours before... Digger

I've said it on other threads, others have also; to me, it's just incredible how they can look so young and so old at the same time...............

The Bird Colonel at the beginning looks alot like the later-to-be-General Curtiss LeMay.

Really great stuff!
Neat to see the "raw" footage of old interviews.
I also like the Navigator wearing his B-3 jacket over his A-2 Jacket.
Must have been a little cold up there!

different time - the bombardier and navagator wearing ties. And I swear that little ball turret gunner is gotta only be 17-18.

WOW! Thanks for sharing these! Speaking of how young and old they look - war really ages a person fast - my 22 year old kid brother was in the 82nd Airborne and served a combat tour in Iraq two years ago - he came back home a much older person.
