Its nice to know that the "Flying Tigers" live on throught the 8-229th Attack Helicopter Regiment based at Ft. Knox, KY. The unit did a tour in Tikrit not to long ago and at one point had the shark's mouths painted on the noses of some of the Apaches. The have retained the company names as well, Hell's Angels, Pursuit, etc. I know they had Tex Hill at their bases before to honor him as well. Long live the Fkying Tigers!
