Our cat Louie after CPR. The fire chief took this photo 8)

Hi all,
I thought I'd give you all a quick update on life after fire.
Good news :!: Our house has been rebuilt and we're back home effective
today :!: On how sweet it is! Still have a couple things to go like a fence
and a mailbox. But then again who cares!
The support (in many different forms) that my family and I have received
from our wix family leaves me searching for the right words. To put it
has best has I possibly can "you all saved our *sses. Not only with your financial support but
with words of encouragement via the board and phone calls. The stress of the last 6 months
has been enormous but participating with all you here made it a helluva lot easier. Saying simply saying
thank you doesn't seem like much.
So I'll just say I owe you all big time!!!!!!! and THANK YOU!

Great news Jack! :D Thanks for the update!

Congrats on the successful rebuild! Have you made many improvements/changes on the house itself? And thank you for all the wonderful photos - we always look forward to them!

P.S. Love the look on Louie's face - typical cat: "yecch - this ugly guy kissed me!"

Great news, Jack! I'm glad you've made the move back home. It's truly amazing that you've still been able to entertain us on WIX with your photos and knowledge even while going through such a difficult time.

How's your wife and cat doing after the fire?

Gary

Welcome back home, Jack!

Jack, your cat is looking at the camera with total disgust :)
He looks like if he wasn't so wet, smoked out, and tired, he would be kicking your ass!

I'm glad you guys made it through this okay, and I'm sorry you lost so much of your warbird stuff. But like I said before, you got the important things out! The rest is just stuff!

Louie was in pretty rough shape. They gave him CPR & O2 and brought him back then took him to the vet.
He had something burned onto the side of his face and all his paw pads were badly burned. 6 months later
he's once again the neighborhood bully!

Jack...I've found that the best way to thank someone for a "kindness" is simply to "pass it on" when you find someone in need. Nuff said?

Good on you Jack.... I am so pleased to hear that things are getting back to normal again. I am sure it will take many years to get over the ordeal, financially, as well as emotionally, but it's heartening to know some big steps forward have been made. Take care, and all the best.
