Can you tell me who is the pilot and what airport it is? Also which engine model? In the first photo they have the flaps down. Is that a landing or a runup? Thanks

Bill, the pilot's Squadron Leader Paul Day and the venue is East Kirkby. The first photo's the taxy back after landing.

It was an extremely good display.

Thanks Robbo. I have met Paul Day once, doubt if he would remember me. A few more hours and he might just begin to get the feel of that aeroplane. I don't know East Kirkby, must get back over the pond one day.

Bill, MJ627 is now based at East Kirkby. It's a wartime bomber base that is home to Fred & Harold Panton's wonderful Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre and Lancaster NX611
