Bearcat sold?

Mon Oct 29, 2007 9:32 pm

I heard that Ray Dieckman has sold his beauty to a large collector in the Houston area. Any one know if this is correct?

It has been sold, but I'm not sure as to who bought it.

His name escapes me, but yes, he is from the Houston, and currently owns another Bearcat.

Rod Lewis?

It is a lovely airplane -- it was a real pleasure to see it on the course at Reno...

Nope, not Mr Lewis. Let me rephrase that, he now owns two stock Bearcats.

Well if this guy in Houston owns another Bearcat, im not sure that he keeps it in Houston. Howard keeps his Bearcat at HOU from time to time when he is in town for business but he isnt from the Houston area...The only other F8F is down at LSFM. :?

Interesting to note the former Dieckman Bearcat is joining the Friedkin collection. There is now 3 aircrafts which flew in France in the last few years now owned either by Tom and Dan Friedkin ( Spitfire XIV SM832 and F4U-4 from Christophe Jacquard and now the Bearcat which flew with René Bouverat).

I wonder if that means it will live at Chino with the rest of the collection.

Dan bought the Bearcat.

Tom's Bearcat is now in for a re-paint.
