Twilight Tear now at Chino

Sun Oct 28, 2007 7:30 pm

Steve Hinton just called and let me know TT was taxing in.
Jim Beasley departed Coatesville, PA (which is just west of Philly) around 6 am EST this morning and arrived Chino, CA about 5:15 PST.

All that traveling and Jim didn't have to remove his shoes, walk through a metal detector or wait in a line.
That is, until he comes home!

That's her! Is she undergoing rebuild or is this where they will crate her up?

Steve Hinton's crew is going to go through her pretty thoroughly -- needs to have the longerons replaced as well as other work. It's a nice straight airframe though. Steve said about 1 1/2 years worth of work to do on her.

Good deal, so Jim, finally this year (well next but...) my dad and I will be making it to Duxford for Flying Legends, with Twilight Tear down, does this mean there will be no Horsemen in Europe for 2007? Or is it way too early to tell?

????

either way it's such a great show. You're going to love it

I just wanted to see if there will be a Horsemen Routine next year, I'm hooked on it after seeing you guys at Rick.

Does Stephen Grey fly a Bearcat routine? I've heard something about him and the Bear, sounds like the best warbird show on the planet.

Counting the days....

I'm still not sure if I'll be there. Depends on work and Twilight definitely won't be done by then

Stephen does an outstanding Bearcat routine. Flying Legends is the best show around. Everyone needs to attend at least once

Just got my latest WARBIRD DIGEST with a nice article on Princess Elizabeth, my fave 'warbird', and Jim. Just so happens that I'm working on a large 4th FG Mustang (336th FS P-51B The Flying Dutchman will be the star) ground scene at present, and those beautiful detail shots in the article came in handy!
