The latest TAP has a Hawker Tempest II listed for sale in Seattle Washington. Anyone know of this airplane and have pictures?

The owner is an aquaintance. By his own admission, he's not very web-savvy,
but serious prospective buyers might call him to obtain pictures (please
don't bug him and tell him I sent you if you're not a serious buyer!!!).
If anyone else has pictures of this machine, I'd love to see them myself...
I believe the airplane is actually in Europe somewhere (France....???).

Chuck,
i do not know the serial of this one but it was once owned by Philippe Denis from France. My dad did some flying for him in the early 80's.He had a large collection of various warbirds before passing on.i have seen pics of the plane, and have talked to the current owner. It is stored at a farm in france along with a lockheed 10 or 12 that is also for sale in TAP. asking price is over $700K for the Tempest project.

Hi,
I am most seriously interested in buying this project, to rebuild to fly. Could you please put me in touch with the owner?
Thanks and regards.

Phone number and email address of the seller is at the very bottom of page 100 in the first November issue of the yellow newspaper.
He does mention “serious buyers only”.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice, "yellow newspaper" is a little cryptic for me, could you please be a little more clear?
Thanks and regards !

I'd venture to guess Trade-A-Plane.

Here's a link to a pdf file / data-sheet for the Tempest II in question
(there are a few smallish pictures). It is G-BSHW / serial 12177).

Bearcat,
good luck with purchasing the Tempest. It would be fantastic to see an airplane like that take to the air again. What a neat machine.
Cheers,
David
