Im kinda proud that we got that many P-51's in Pennsylvanina, including a rare C model. A few years ago the only P-51 in Pennsylvania was Donald and she is now on static in Europe! :? :(

In that one hangar you've got an air force almost equal to the entire Mustang population of Texas, not counting the 4 wheel kind. It looks like you'll have plenty to do this winter.

Yeah, the "CESSNA" of warbirds. GIMMME A CESSNA ANYDAY. Really, I don''t care which one it is either.

Kind of looks like my hangar (without the Mustangs)

I'll bet we can fit a few more in there...

Always enjoy the photos from this hangar!

Twilight Tear will be going out to Chino where she will be undergoing a rebuild, headed by I believe Steve Hinton.

Doesn't Ed Shipley's Sabre live there as well? I've seen pics on Airshobuzz of the Beasley air force and the Sabre all in the same hangar.

Yea , I hear an offer to help in your message.
Bill, your hired!
See you on Monday.
It was your Merlin experience that got you noticed.
No, No. I insist.
Besides, A mustang only has BS hardware on the engine. Everything else in the airframe is normal nuts and bolts.

Looks to me like 3 out of 4 Merlin engined aircraft are undergoing some form of engine maintenance at any one time while 100% of Pratts remain in service (BTW, that includes the twin Bill). :finga:

When you operate the aircraft they do require maintanence.
Bald Eagle had about 170 hours last year.
Princess has flown about 40+ hrs since we got her over here.
Thats more than she flew since Stephen Grey aquired it in 97.

Now, Brandon, how many hours did your T-6 fly last year?

Ed has his own hangar which he built in the early 90s. The Sabre only visits us on occasion.

None, and none in the past 40+ years either... That will change if I live long enough!

About one quarter of those 40 hours were on the delivery flight, right? :D

You know that I know that maintenance is the price of admission for owning an aircraft. Just funnin...

In the week of GML Princess flew 17 times for around 20 hours. Coatesville is 1 1/2 hrs away from Columbus. Half of her flying time was in that one week. I think it took around 9 hrs from Chino to Coatesville to be delivered.

If I had my logbook here at work I would proudly scan the last page...

10/06/07 P51D flight training at Wings Over Houston 0.6 hrs

10/21/07 C172S PIC 0.5 hr - I needed to stay current and the plane was only available for an hour.
