My brother was driving through either Danville, VA or Roanoke, VA and saw the front fuselage section of an F-4 Phantom, painted in Thunderbird colors, on a trailer. IT was being pulled by big dualie pickup. Who's, what, and why????

Normally I'd say it was the F-4 simulator that can be seen at airshows around the Southern US:

But it says they were in Fort Worth, TX that weekend...
I am guessing it was Ben Gimberts "Plane" then:

Ben Gimbert would be the guy. Spent the night with he and his wife on my winter " road trip". They live in western VA on the side of a mountain with a beatiful view ! Nice folks.

Any one remember one that was painted in camo colors? The deal was that eventually it was going to be put back together.
