Isn't it Mike Coutches (sp?) that owns that one?

Looks like that event was good fun.
That was in Marina, California? Well, my girlfriend and I will have to head down there for next years event. Of course for the airplanes, but also because that's my girlfriend's name. Marina!
Nice pictures too, and seemed like a really nice turn out.
Cheers,
David

It is. P51H. Stephen Coutches was giving rides in it all day. We talked for a little bit. He had just come back from the roundup. Cool guy.
Marina is right next to Monterey. The old Fort Ord I think. It was a good time and everyone was nice. There must be a ton of rich folks there to keep three mustangs flying all day for rides. That's the first time I saw it like that.

Mike Coutches has been flying their H-model for a long time now, having aquired it in the 60's. It's a regular at the Northern CA air shows, and is flown by Mikes son, Steve. I first saw this P-51 at our air shows in the late 1980's, and sometimes they bring their "D" model to the shows with the "H".

Here you go, Mr. Friedman. It's time you got updated on what's out there.

So does anyone know if the Whittington H flies on anything resembling a regular basis? TIA.

I like the markings on that B-25 - Light Blue on the polished metal. Nice, subtle contrast.
Cool Pics!

Tony Banta from Livermore rebuilt by Pioneer Aero and delivered in 2002... AK940 (N940AK), formerly flown as AVG "77" by Dr. Bill Anderson in Geneseo, NY

Somehow, I don't have a picture of anyone "giving" rides any of the aircraft. Can you give us any actual costs for the rides?

Mudge, I watched the late Heber Costello give rides all day long in his Mustang at Hope, Ark. He was giving rides to a bunch of the airshow workers. All you had to do was ask.

600 dollars for fifteen minutes in the mustangs. I think you would actually be in the plane for 30 minutes, flying for 15.
