Plot Outline: An up-close personal look at a superb pilot who also just happens to be the biggest box office star of all time.

A fifteen minute documentary of Harrison Ford's love of aviation, how he became interested, and how he has mixed flying into his acting career. Beautifully photographed in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and on a cross country flight from Wyoming to Boeing Field Seattle.

Harrison flies his DeHavilland Beaver from Driggs, Idaho, all the way to Boeing field in Seattle, where he was Celebrity MC for the 2001 Air & Space Gala Auction for Kids.

While Harrison and friends were getting their float plane ratings, Producer, Paul Mitton spent the preceding few days editing the documentary, joined the night before by Director, Steve Stafford. An all night edit session followed. The lack of sleep was worth it all, and the video was very well received.

A friend of mine from England, Steve Bridgewater, working for Today's Pilot magazine in the UK got to interview him for an article on his involvement in aviation and the young eagles program at OSH a few years ago...said he was real easy to talk to and a nice guy....

Well, he's also flown the Dornier Do-24 ATT at Osh, so he's got the world's only amphibian-turboprop-W.W.II-air-sea-rescue-technology-and-world-tour-demonstrator with added world records, in his logbook.

I was in at Boston"s Logan airport (KBOS) working on a lear 23 and he was in there in his Beaver. He was sick of everybody bugging him in the lobby and made a bee line for the airplane. I turned around and asked how many hours did he have on it and he stopped to chat.

Really nice guy. Really cool Beaver.

Last week I saw him land the Cessna Caravan at a tiny strip. He got it in and out using very little of the small runway. He didn't mind getting it dirty either.

From the CNN story,

"He was wearing a T-shirt and a cowboy hat," said George, who didn't know Ford was the pilot until an emergency medical technician on board made it clear. "He didn't look like I'd ever seen him before."

With about a minute to go before landing at Jackson's St. John's Hospital, the ailing George vomited into a hat.

"I can't believe I barfed in Harrison Ford's helicopter," she said.
