Sanity Day

Mon Oct 15, 2007 4:21 pm

Took a Sanity Day off of work week before last, as Microsoft Excel was beginning to cloud my vision.

Drove a short distiance to Burnet, Texas to clear my head and pay a visit to the Highland Lakes Squadron of the CAF. Unfortunately it was closed, but I was able to snag a few pics of the planes on static display.

First off, the building area and the trainers.

An AH-64D Apache Longbow from Fort Hood was shooting approaches to the local airport.

Good job! Thanks for the pics, including the serial numbers (which I have noted).

I had a sanity day as well today. I just got back from giving a tour of Vintage Wings to a group of WWII air force and army vets. A very appreciative crowd and a rewarding experience. We all need a sanity day every once and a while.

Too bad you weren't able to get inside. It's a nice little museum.

Here's what I saw inside last spring...Maybe it'll make you feel more sane..

Nice pics! Thanks for posting. Bluebonnet Belle is a beautiful bird - she's always caught my eye.
