This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Has anyone got the wk/num of the BF109 G-2 at the Museu Asas de UM Sonho in Sao Carlos, Brazil
There is a photo of it in the Nov 2004 issue of Flypast (it is nearly complete) - It was recovered from a Norwegian Lake
Again I can't find it on Mikaels site

The aircraft is basically new from the workshops of Raymond Wagner in Germany,...'recovered from a Norwegian lake' is totally misleading....some parts from there were included. The Norwegians are rebuilding the wreck of a G-1 recovered from the sea..but are searching high and low for a good example from a lake ( possibly next year)..they are not going to let one go out of the country without something equally important coming back. And as most have seen... any major recovery is well covered as it has to be undertaken by authorities ( i.e. the major museums )
