Just found some photos of the Red Bull P-38 restoration.

What M. Daniels didn't mention or possibly didn't know was, that polished Mustang used to be Lefty's also! Hence the "Thunderbird" motif! It was kinda cool to have it in the hanger for annual along with the P-38.

Howard Pardue's old # 68 N68HP, BuNo 97302.
Lost the engine back in 91-92?, just north of town and split in two at the production break at the cockpit. In storage until these guys in Colorado bought it a few years ago.

Well its being restored to fly so hopefully it will fly regularly, but who knows!

I'm sorry I ended up so far off topic here Hellcat. These are some great photos you found. I can't wait to see the Red Bull P-38 when she's completed. I hope she spends some time touring the US airshows before going home to her new owners.....
