"RADIO DAYS" WW2 Homefront Film

Sun Sep 09, 2007 1:42 pm

Gang, The Classic WW2 Homefront film "RADIO DAYS" is on tonite (Sunday Sept 9) at 8pm (Eastern) on TCM. This is a really funny Woody Allen WW2 comedy about growing up on the Homefront. It's a mixture of Seinfeld, The Simpsons & A Christmas Story all mushed together. Ha! Ha! It's really hilarious at times & never has any slow spots. It's just two solid hours of really funny & interesting WW2 Homefront stories. Some awesome WW2 Music all through the movie too!! Here's a few clips:

I like this movie because of the attention to detail. The drab 1940's paint shades are all correct & the houses are crappy looking. Full of chipped paint, rotting wood, rusty metal, dead plants, annoying neighbors, etc. Ha! Ha! Just like My house! Everything wasn't cleaned up & repainted like most WW2 Homefront & War movies... Anyway, Check Out "RADIO DAYS" Tonite at 8pm (Eastern) on TCM. Adjust Your own time-zone accordingly .... Digger

I did not live through WW2 (I'm not THAT old - no offense to those who are), but if that Movie is not how it really was, then perhaps it is how it should have been.
