Discovery "Wing Nuts", Off Topic

I was flippin thru the channels last night and caught the very end of Wing Nuts on the Discovery Channel. It had a pic of one of the guys from the show( tattoos and sun glasses) apparently he passed away.
Did anyone catch the show or know's what happened?

Taped it and will be watching it later in the week....But caught a minute or two, from the looks of it it looks like the show was about getting a B-25 part such as a rudder or stabilizer and making a desk out of it. Saw a 25 on the ramp during the show and a Carl Scholl was interviewed.
