Being in need of some positive news about this epic B-17 restoration ~ I was wondering is anyone could bring us up to speed on progress ?
I still have my fingers crossed that it will fly again this year !

Bomberflight...
Thanks for asking.
I hurt my back at work doing video production, so i have totally fallen off the job on B17 updates and photos.
The good news is... yesterday I just shipped some of the parts (B-17 and PT-23) purchased three or four weeks ago to their happy new owners.
But I haven't been to the airplane in 3 or 4 weeks.
Any other GCWingers out there with Da Word?

Yes Please can we have a update ! and for something totaly differnt,
any thing on the B-29 Doc ? dose she have a new building to roost in ?

We were in Wichita for a family function last Saturday and laid eyes on Doc for the first time. Sad to see so much hard work sitting outside on the old terminal ramp. I didn't take the camera so no pics. The folks up there really need someone to come through with funding for a hangar--there is a LOT of work left to be done on that airplane. The work already done looks first-rate, but it really needs to be back under a roof soon.

Spanner ~ sorry to hear about your back ~ I know thats no fun at all.
Surfing all the heavy bomber sites ( to update the news section on my own website

) I see that Lone Star are planning to to bring their B-17 and B-25 to the 1940's Air Terminal Museum on Saturday November 17th ~ and offer rides !
Hopefully the GCW will be out in force on that day too ?
And ~ Swiss Mustangs ~ Thanks for sharing the great pictures
