T-6G 'Zero'

Wed Aug 29, 2007 6:05 am

Morning, all. I just found this photo on the Xusenet archive and I am hoping that somebody will be able to identify it. If no parts have been added or switched about, it would appear to be an early build (49 - ????) T-6G.

Off the top of my head, that wouldn't be Gary Numan's example by chance?

Remember Gary Numan?! He was in that late-70s synthesizer muso who came up with the song 'Cars'. Eurgh, now it's in my head!

Cheers,
Matt

Matt, to the best of my knowledge, Numan's plane was a Harvard and never carried anything beyond hinomarus. I don't ever remember seeing it with the amount of decoration this one has. However, having said that, I am willing to be proven wrong! :?

Permit me to shoot myself down. Numan's aircraft didn't carry any japanese markings except hinomarus. However, overall, the scheme does seem to be similar to my subject shot.
