B26 identity

Fri Oct 08, 2004 10:34 pm

Can anyone recall these two A/B25 aircraft that flew at Tico in 1991? One was the long nose version and it was in black/green camo. The second had the long nose, medium blue belly with a white top. There was a red stripe along the middle and red/ehite/blue stripes along the tip tanks and top of the vertical stab. It had stars and bars only.

I think the camo A-26 was the one formerly owned by the Museum of Flying, that is now Howard Keck's.

The owner of that A-26 David Brady was killed shortly afterwards when he made a pass at it in his A-37 and misjudged the pass, hit the 26 and was killed. (The 26 was only slightly damaged). I remember seeing Air to Air of the 37 in Atlantic Flyer and I'm pretty sure they brought the 26 to that show also.

Don't think it is the Brady plane (N9150). His was silver with a gun nose, the name Georgia Invader on the left side of the nose and a red J on the tail. Both aircraft were photographed at the same time in 1990, not 1991 as I wrote previously. In fact I believe I shot air to air shot of both of them flying together enroute from Orlando executive to Tico.
Still curious about that blue and white one.
