F-94C StarFire

I went home this past weekend ( originally from Grand Rapids, Minnesota )
and I asked my dad about this old looking T-33 that used to be at teh Chisholm Mining Museum up there.

He told me "yeah, I know that one, I took my crane from work ( he worked at Hibbing Taconite Plant as a crane operator ) and took it and put it on a flat bed and then sent it to Duluth to have the ANG guys paint it up and then I put it it up on a pole on a new Veteran Memorial outside of Iron World Mueseum a few years ago.

So I drove up there and found her. She is actually a F-94C "StarFire" Bomber Interceptor

There's one sitting on a post in the campground at Oshkosh as well.

Great looking F-94C Starfire. It's one of my favorite 1950s vintage Air Force jet fighters. I think that the Minnesota ANG was one of the last operators to fly the Starfires, retiring them in July 1959.

F-94's are sweet. There is one in a cemetary near Erie, PA. The one at EAA and this one, look to be kept in pretty good shape.

Back in the 60s there used to be one at a city park in Duluth , Minn.
I think it's now in the Twin Cities Minn ANG museum. Can anyone confirm that?

Awesome looking bird! Like the paint scheme too. Was it the scheme actually used back in the day?

Great looking Starfire!
What's really nice about it is that it retained it's rocket pods and all it's tanks.
Many F-94's out there are missing the wing mounted rocket pods.
I loved to find a set for the New England Air Museum's F-94C.

Is that the one in Camp Scholler, behind the Barn store? I could have swore it was a 94.
I'll agree, the 94 above is very well taken care of.

Yes it is located here in the Cities.
