Beaufort Moved

Sat Aug 04, 2007 4:53 pm

Hi all, just thought i'd jump the news on this one. The one day airworthy RAAF Beaufort project owned by Ralph Cusack has been moved from its home of 15+ years at Hendra to a place much much closer to me :D It now resides at Caboolture Airfield which is a great place ..if I do say so myself (already home to Mustang, Wirraways, Austers and other brethren).

The aircraft is coming along nicely... and I hope to spend a lot more time out there helping out than I have been able to at its previous location. So if anybody wants some pics..i'll see if I can iblige them .

For those not already familiar with the great work the restoration team has done so far the following website should give you a rundown on what has been accomplished so far.

Cheers all,

I took these last year before the move.

A very exciting project.

from the look of those pics not a lot seems to have changed. Well except that she's in several parts right now due to the move. Once we get the hanger sorted out, and airframe reassembled, I'll post some pics.
