Any update on the restoration of Brian Reynold's Corsair?
also does anyone know how the finished paint scheme/markings will be?
I can't wait to see completed.

The last I heard John Lane still had it in his shop.
I posted some photos Brian sent me a couple months ago.
Paint possibilities are VMF-213 1946 USS Saidor in which it
served or Seattle NAVAIRES from Sand Point in which I believe
it also served. My vote is my cousin's FG from VMF-112 in 1945.

I second this nomination. First, it would be a unique and very attractive paint scheme never seen before on any of the F4U survivors, and it has a good story (and gun a camera photo) to go with! Plus you'd have ol' Jack there to keep the human factor alive, and to relate the story of the original plane & pilot. Can't beat that with a stick! 8)

Center section is having major work done to it right now. No decision has been made on paint. I'm still leaning (bothering Brian) towards the USS Saidor scheme...
