I did not even know I had this.

Gate Guard for "Fort Indian Town Gap" in Pennsylvania. Looks to be a F-102B model.

Is the F-102 still considered a "dangerous aircraft" and not allowed to be operated by private individuals? It’s sad not to see any of these Daggers being flown any more.

Is there even a chance in the future?

Actually it's the TF-102A. The "F-102B" was the original designation for the F-106A Delta Dart before it was re-designated.

Any that escaped for display are the only ones left. The rest were used as flying targets. I don't think any other foriegn goverment used them, so there aren't any to be found outside the US to import.

I vaguely remember seeing those painted white/ orange in Puerto Rico when I was a kid in the early 70s. Pretty sad knowing that they were being used for target practice.

Its funny, I'm at work, supposed to be working, but on the WIX board of course, and the gentleman sitting in the cubical next to me was a crew chief on F-102's way back when!

I’m going to try and ask him more about his carrier soon.
