Let me give you some background info first. In January of this year I contacted the Collings Foundation wanting to help my local coordinator on the Valparaiso "Wings of Freedom" stop. After they didn't get back with me, I tried again in the spring and that attempt failed as well.
So, once the schedule was set I took matters into my own hands and contacted Phil Griffith my local coordinator asking if he needed any help. It turned out he did need help and asked where I wanted to help. I said media relations, so we met up and he handed over the press kits for the media. So, I guess you could say I'm now a Collings Foundation volunteer at the local level.
