Does anyone have the ID for Bob Odegaard's C-47 Minnie "H"? I have a number of photos of it, but unfortunately none that show the registration. photo on airliners.net

Dan,
The FAA lists it as N1XP s/n 4733.
Technically N1XP belongs to the Fargo Air Museum now, so Bob picked up DC-3 N603MC s/n 4932.
There are pictures of her on Airliners.net as well....  :D

Thanks for the info. It must be a tough question indeed if you can't find an answer on the WIX.

C-47 MINNIE H

I can add a little to the MINNIE H story. I've long been a "fan" of Gooney Birds and had the very good fortune to fly from Fargo to the Reno races in 2002 with Odegaard in his Gooney.
It is a C-47-DJ Douglas serial #4733
Delivered to the USAAF on 20 Sep 42 as 41-38630
Served in Australia with the 5th AF and used the callsigns VHCDR and VHCFV, named "DUCHESS"
Returned to the USA in Aug 45. and registered as NC843 and later N843K.
In 11960 it went to Canada to the DOT as CF-DOT, and later as C-FDOT.
It did become N1XP, when sold back into the USA, and was bought by Odegaard Aviation of Kindred, ND.

my fingers made a couple slips in the above piece.
It is a C-47-DL.

It went to Canada on 28 Feb 1950

Thanks Dick, it's always nice to see the history of an aircraft.
