All-
This is at least aviation related, so I thought I would give it a shot here since a lot of you guys are retired military. I need help identifying exactly what this coat is. I believe it is an Air Force Airman's overcoat from the Korean War, but I could be totally wrong. It is a 39R, about 5 ft. long, and is made out of wool. I am interested in selling it, perhaps on E-Bay, but I want to know what I am selling so that I can give accurate information to any potential buyers. Thanks in advance guys, I appreciate it! Here are some photos:

Dennis,
Having just returned from Michigan yesterday evening, and having visited a museum with an unbelievable collection of uniforms and medals, you might try "Michigan's Own, Inc. Military and Space Museum" at
www.michigansmilitarymuseum.com/ or email the pictures too
Michown@ejourney.com at the same location to see if they can help, if nobody else replies..............

This is a post 1947, pre 1957 or 1958 or so, USAF overcoat. Not very desirable in the collecting market, but they are nice warm coats.
Roger- I was standing behind you when you were talking to RMAllnut under Panchito's wings. Sorry I didn't have a chance to introduce myself to you before you walked away.

Sorry to have missed you also. We really needed a group photo in the afternoon, so we could have met some of the people that were there we weren't aware of. Bummer

The coat is looks just like the one I was issued when I was in the air force in 1962 thru 1966.
