A special request for those at Thunder - Caribou N6080

Sat Jul 07, 2007 5:47 pm

For any WIXers at Thunder, could someone snap a few pictures of Caribou N6080 for me, if possible? Please post them here or e-mail me directly at B29Gunner25@hotmail.com

Also, does anyone know who currently owns this Bou, or is it still with HAT Aviation? I heard some rumblings the YAF might be acquiring it?

Thanks!!!

I believe that the Caribou is currently parked at the site of the former YAF hanger, which is a long ways from the action at the show this year.

Due to the Blue Angels, show center was moved to the center of the airfield...approx a 1/2 mile from the museum site. That area is more or less off limits this weekend.

Was an excellent show today, by the way.

If no one can get a shot this weekend, I can snap something thru the fence next week.

Thanks for the heads up sknight! I was hoping to see some close-ups, as I'm curious as to the Bou's current condition, but "fence shots" would be OK w/ me!

This is the best I could do on short notice. I've heard rumors of Yankee trying to get the aircraft, and I've also heard of Bombardier trying to acquire it as well. Never heard anything concrete though, other than it's due for an AD.
