Warbird news

Some research today i found these interesting updates -

In Oz/NZ this year or early next year there are nearly 4 P-40 Kitty/Warhawks nearing ready to fly if all goes well. Currently we have 2 flying in oz.

In Victoria i didnt know but there is at the RAAF Museum 5 A-020G Havoc/Boston airframes still - most were recovered in 1985.

Worldwide there is maybe 4 A-20 Havocs nearing to fly hopefully not far down track... 1 will be based in NSW also.. and another will be based in QLD.

There are 3-4 Fireflies in rebuild also it seems, most are ex Republic of Australian Navy examples and sadly most are exported to the USA to fly...

There hopefully a good chance of another Beaufighter been rebuilt to static example in Australia down the track.

So the warbird industry is flourishing in some ways which is good.. just needs alot of money and time to make them fly.

I have heard the Warbirds Over Wanaka show is a good one. I sure would love to see a Beaufighter. Sounds like you guys will be seeing some good stuff appearing in the skies once again down there. 8)
