The mannaquin in Bockscar's nose looks a little overdressed if he's suppose to represent Kermit Beahan on the Nagasaki mission...

That's a terrific link, thanks for posting it.The museum has certainly improved since I last visited in 1982.At that time,I stood next to the B-58 for 15 minutes trying to figure out how the nose gear retracted without hitting the nose of the pod.I later saw a picture of a B-58 with the gear in transit.(They cheat by having the nose gear fold in the middle during retraction)

Looks like they did a beautiful job on the MiG-29. She was just being prepped for paint when I toured Restoration back in December.

This might sound like a starnge question, but how many of the planes would theoretically be flyable...I know the Strawberry Bi### was flown from DM in Tucson in 1959, and Shoo Shoo Baby was flown in, but how about any others? Just curious.

If the aircraft are able to, they are restored to the most complete status they can be. Most of the aircraft flew to the museum. While others were restored on site. The standing oreder is that they are restored to full flight statues for their time period. Sometimes due to the rough shape of the project, they can not be restored to that standard, at that point they are done to the highest standard possible.
