These are shots of the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo. When did the A-26 first show up there?

Any ideas about the date of these photos?

I am going to take a wild guess and say it was the Fall/Winter of 1989. A few clues to this:

That A-26 isn't the A-26 that NWM has currently (the one that Calspan donated)... that is an On-Mark that was there on behalf of either Dave Tallichet or Rick Korff (I can't remember who owned it). It departed before 1990 as I recall. Note the guns in the gun nose.

Look at the Widgeon on the hangar shot... it was there for the 1989 and 1990 summers from what I remember (I was only 12 folks). It was towed over to the hangar by the farm after that and dissappeared by 1992.

The OV-1 had just been delivered it looks like... an FAA Certificate was issued in the NWM name on April of 1990, so that would make sense (N6744).

And lastly, the hangar still has the "drapes" on it... and I bet the hangar inside was still a dirt floor.

I would agree with your date of 1989. I think the Invader arrived in the summer of 1989. It was 44-34713 and donated by Korff to the NWM. It didn't fly much, but did occassionally, and then was sold, I think around 91 or 92, the funds being used to buy the C-47.

Does anyone have an ID on the Widgeon?

If the grey/blue/mustard Widgeon is the one meant, c/r was N101PE. I have a couple pix of it from the late 80s. Where'd it go?

I think I will consider this one a mystery solved and conclude the fall of 1989. I think that looks like a first snow fall of the season, hence fall.
