Below is a link to some photos of NMNA's restoration facility in P'cola.
These were taken in Jan. 07. They show the Bucaneer before com-
pletion, the Turtle in for a paint job, McCampbell's F6F having its'
temporary "Blue Angel 1" scheme removed, the JD-1 being refurbished,
and the Zero being used to make a mold, etc, etc.

Thanks for the link,Owen.Its nice to see the "Turtle" getting some TLC.I think that I remember seeing it sitting outside at a Naval Air Station in the late 70's.NAS Norfolk,I think.

Larry, that's correct... we had the Turtle here at NAS Norfolk along with the Emily which is now in Japan and the XFY-1 vertical takeoff job. All gone now, along with most aircraft- the only thing flying out of Chambers Field now are helos, E-2Cs and Greyhounds.
