There are so many parts of this that seem suspicious at best to me, it's not even funny. Plus for that price, you could get a whole other, or many airplanes (granted not an SR, but geez...).

The SR-71/A-12 did use corrugated skin to help with the issue of heat buildup from the friction of supersonic flight. But I'm there with you guys as far as the price. That guy must be smoking some good crack!

I guess you really couldn't know for sure unless you comparied the rivet type, patern and spacing. Also the airframe was all titinaum wasn't it?

Just out of curiosity, anybody know if it can be verified that an SR-71 had an accident on the day he listed?

For two piece of ummm sh&t? Now, if it was the X-1 and Yeager signed it, or something of that nature, but really....the value, is not that high.

Lost on 11 April 1969 at Edwards AFB, CA. While doing maximum weight take-off tests, the left main tires blew causing a fire which engulfed the entire aircraft. USAF Pilot/ RSO: Lt. Col. Bill Skliar/ Major Noel Warner escaped safely.
