Hi all,
Well, this afternoon I took another flight lesson. This time going over things I learned on my first lesson; climbs, left and right turns, turns to headings, gliding turns, and dutch rolls. I even took off for my very first time!

. My taxiing was much better and I had more control. My turns are still not the greatest. I circled my house a few times to show Jerry were I lived and I saw my grandma outside watching me! Jerry said go ahead and do some dutch rolls to wave at her. Man, I was really racking that plane back and forth looked as if I was dodging Zero's.

Jerry also showed me how to preflight an airplane. He had me use that little jar to check the fuel and make sure it had no bubbles and that it was a light blue tint. Everything checked out ok I told him. He also talked to me about was "crab angles". So we were up and put me in a line that I would have to compesate for the wind and he said I did 100% great on that crab angle! Anyway, I received my very first log book today. Yahoo! Weather was pretty good although a bit hazy and warm. Otherwise I had a great time today and I can't wait to go back up and learn some more!
The only real problem I had today was I kept forgetting to check for traffic before I made a turn.

I guess I was just too excited.
Tally ho,
Nathan
