Aviation sights, museums in Germany?

Fri Jun 08, 2007 12:47 am

I'm headed over for my third visit in 8 years. Looks like I'm going to hit the big museum in Berlin that was just in Flypast. I've seen Sensheim and Speyer, won't be in the Munich area, but between Dusseldorf and Berlin in the north central part of the country. It's also time for a few more laps around the Nurburgring and some more seat time on the Autobahn.

The Luftwaffe museum at Laatzen near Hannover is well worth a visit. Loads of memorabilia and airframes there.

If you are up north there is a great little museum up at Witmund, it is an active base though so you have to ring in advance to let them know you are coming.
