I'd like to learn more about the Kingfisher that was salvaged from a Florida swamp or forest some 15 or 20 years ago. Was it ever restored? Anyone know where the crashsite was? I'm sure nothing is left I was just curious of the location. Also there is/was a Corsair in a swamp west of Hastings at one time. The fuselage was salvaged but I think they left the wing and centersection behind. I'd like to explore and document some crash sites in Florida. There were also some crashes from the Deland NAS during the war. Anyone know if all those sites were cleaned up? I'm not looking to salvage anything just take pictures and enjoy the hike.
Thanks.
