Temora Aviation Museum Flying Day 19 May 07

Sun May 20, 2007 7:51 am

It was a hard shooting environment with one end of the airfield having dark stormy clouds as the backdrop, the middle having bright blue sky and the other end bright backlit clouds. I and my Xt struggled with exposures all day.

Any way here are some of my favourites.

The highlight of the day for most vistors.

F111 dump & burn silhouette. After this shot he pulled up and kept burning as he went into the cloud base. He was too far away for a good shot, just a small fireball entering the clouds.

Great stuff, Wardie. Like the first Boomer shot.

Sad I couldn't be there myself, but there'll be another time.

Cheers

Looks like it was a great day but challenging lighting. The Hudson and Meteor landing shots are sweet.

I love the Canberra shots. I haven't seen one fly since about 1964 or so. Good stuff, mate!

Wow, haven't seen an F-111 in a few years...

ABC TV ran a report on Temora last night. Here is a link to their web page with a transcript as well as a link to the video story. I think that it's worth watching.
