James Beasley Sr.

Sorry to report James Beasley Sr. has passed away. Vlado Lenoch sent me the depressing news this morning. Mr. Beasley owned the beautiful P-51D 'Bald Eagle' and often performed in USAF Heritage Flights. His son, James Beasley Jr. opperates the P-51D 'Frenesi' (currently under rebuild), and also takes part in the Heritage Flight program. Very sad..... Jim

Sad to hear that. I've enjoyed seeing Him & his Aircraft around the Northeast.

What a shame

That's a shame. I just saw Bald Eagle and him out at Reading PA for the WWII weekend this past june. He was an annual attendee there. He'll be missed. My prayers go out to him and his family.

I was wondering also what was going on with Frensei, I haven't seen it around at all. Does anyone know where Bald Eagle and Frensei are based? Is it Northeast Philly Airport?

Jim et al--

That's sad news. Just two weeks ago "Bald Eagle" appeared (alongside a 23TFW A-10) at the CNE airshow, with Ed Shipley at the stick. The Mustang was in many ways the star of an otherwise thoroughly-modern lineup! Mr Beasley and "Bald Eagle" had been local regulars back in the late 80s and 90s. We will certainly miss him.
