Say a little prayer for Mobile

The people of that area deserve the prayers of course, but the USS Alabama Memorial is right there on the water and will be subjected to 150 mph winds over the next few hours. A lot of the more precious planes have been relocated inside the Aircraft Pavilion hangar, but the rest remain outdoors. Exposing objects that like to fly to Category 4 wind storms can't make for a good cocktail. The ability of the Pavilion to withstand those winds might be questionable as well. Here's hoping everything stays put! It's been 25 years since a storm of this power has struck Mobile.

I was just thinking about those aircraft (and all the poor souls who live there...) while watching a news report on Ivan a few minutes ago. Are the Mustang, Corsair and B-25 all displayed under cover nowadays? Jim

Was hoping it would get back out to sea and not enter the gulf. Was just in Mobile and the Naval Museum in Pensacola last month. Can't imagine the damage the people and area may have to endure. Prayers to all.

I'm not too far away (Shreveport, LA). Strangely enough, it looks like we won't be getting a single cloud from the storm. We need the rain too! 
The last I saw, the P-51, F4U, SR-71, F-86, Kingfisher, and a couple of others were indoors. The B-25 was still outside the last time I was there a year or so ago. Hope it all fares well through the morning.
