Love the one white blade.
Last time I went to Oshkosh as we were coming around in the break I was scanning for traffic and saw him comming in from the initial with the one white blade slowly (or seemingly slowly) cruising around. Great effect.

Fantastic pic!
I got to see the F2G fly at Thunder Over Michigan a few years ago..what a sight..and sound (I'd always wanted to hear an R-4360 run just once.)
Just why is that prop blade painted white, anyway?

Nice shot of a SWEET airplane. I saw it for the first time at Chino last year and was thoroughly impressed.

Why aren't all other props painted this way?

As I have read, Cook Cleland turned over #57 to Ben McKillen to prepare for the 1949 National Air Races. One of the things he did was paint 3 blades black & 1 white, which gave the illusion of the engine turning slowly.

I think it is kind of the same idea as the spinners on Me-109s.
