10th Mustangs and Mustangs

Sat Apr 14, 2007 9:03 pm

Fantasy of Flight held it's 10th Mustangs and Mustangs Show
today April 14, 2007.

Over 600 Ford Mustangs (I have 1 picture) and 6 P-51s (I have many pictures) were in attendance.

The Red Barons were there also.

Some photos below. Will post more when I get done going through them.

Outstanding photos Bill!

I'm happy to see there is at least one Cavalier still around that hasn't been returned to stock P-51D condition.

Thanks Dan, as far as the Cavalier goes, as usual my hotdog rule applied.
That is, at any event whenever I go get a hotdog an interesting aircraft will show up.
I never get an arrival photo. :?

Here are a couple more from the show and some others HERE

Since it is owned/flown by the son of the founder of Cavalier, I am guessing it's going to remain that way for a long time!

That is a pretty historic Mustang in its own right....ex NASA test aircraft and then the Cavalier corporate demonstrator for the Mustang II modification.

On a related note, "Obsession" is also an ex-Cavalier aircraft, but it obviously had several of the outwardly-evident features removed since becoming a private citizen again.

Great shots...Any pictures of the Fords? :hide: (My dad has a 71 Boss 351...and I always wanted to get its picture taken w/ a P-51 :D )

Brian,

Yep, Kermit flew his T-6 also. I got 1 photo but then I saw
Elvis with Marilyn and knew I must have been out in the sun
too long so I left.

Bill,

Great shot of the T-6, but it's not Kermit. I was flying that day.

The Cavalier is one sharp looking beast. Hopefully Ed Lindsay will bring it to Columbus this fall...
