Thanks, guys ... much appreciated!

Next up is a 1./JG 1 Fw 190 A-6 attacking withdrawing bombers over the German Bight on 27 Sept 43. The featured Fw (White 11) is piloted by Oblt. Georg "Murr" Schott, an ace and Staffelkapitan of 1. Staffel, based at Deelen, Holland. He was shot down on this mission, and was found three weeks later dead in his dinghy after it washed up on shore.

The markings are how I'm going to paint my Flug Werke "new build" Fw 190 - checkerboard nose!

Stand by for news on that one. 8)
