Corsairs on the Oscars!

One of Clint's pics won for best sound recording (not sure if it was 'Letters' or 'Flags') but some of the sound clips featured the Corsairs making passes and that PHENOMENAL sound of a R-2800 going by at high speed...
We ever determine whose Corsairs were used in the movies, or were they CG?

The Corsair from POF was used and flown by John Maloney...bit of info.. the POF Hellcat was to be used in the making of the Movie after it went back to Chino from Little Rock, Arkansas. As we now this is when Art Vance was lost on his way to Little Rock..
Do not want to sound dis-tasteful...I had worked on the Hellcat for 2 days getting it all cleaned up and lookin Good...!!!
