I know there have been a few instances in history where piston powered aircraft have bested jet aircraft in aerial combat.
I was wondering what prop turning aircraft and pilots are credited with downing a jet?

I know that several Sea Furies have downed Migs, but I don't recall the exact numbers.
And of course, there have been a few Mig kills by B-29 gunners as well.

Wasn’t the first loss of a jet aircraft in aerial combat thought to have taken place on or about Oct 10 44 when P51D’s of the 361st fighter group shot down two ME262’s?

Ok, I have to ask, that looks like a F4U-1something, not a F4U-4B. Can I assume that is a WW2 Picture and not Korea?
