Anyone missing some parts

Tue Jan 23, 2007 6:09 pm

Hey guys,
I was out on the East side of town the other day and noticed that there is a flat bed Semi trailer sitting across from the truck stop with some C-119 QEC's  and some wood crates that are not marked along with what looks like some possible P-2V parts as well. I know this stuff came from the H&P auction :( , I want to go down and liberate one of those 3350's and put it the corner of my hangar :D .

Scott,
STAY AWAY FROM MY STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!
That is the stuff we bought at the auction, there should be 2 R-2600, 2 R-3350QECs, a bunch of aluminum tubs, and several broken down props.

Where in WY were they ?

Whata mean stay away :( Those engines just look sad sitting out in that cold weather. All I see are two 3350's and crates, I'll see if I can get over to that side of town today and get a photograph of them. The trailer is sitting in Douglas, WY.

Whats left at H & P now? Has the Yanks Privateer left yet?

Wed Jan 24, 2007 3:03 pm

I was there last month and both the Yanks and Phx 4Ys were in the shop getting their wings ripped open to be inspected for cracks, and they did find them. I don't see either of them leaving until late spring or summer. Only 1 4Y has had the wing repaired, 2 underway, 1 still on the ramp.

Matt;
I still have yet to get to that end of town :x But I will make an effort to get over there this weekend for sure. After the gun show of course :D

thx Scott,
I talked to them last night and we should be getting our stuff around the 1st. I did tell them that it was being watched.

Hi Matt, Where in Arizona is the other Privateer headed? Is that one part of the collection you are involed in? I know this probably has been covered on the WIX in the past but it has slipped my mind.

It is not part of our collection, it is privately owned and rumored to be based in Coolidge.

Has Clay Lacy's C-97 left yet??

TIA,

Lynn

Clay's C-97s are still there, and will be for a while yet. He bought several of them. Tanker 97 is to have the tanks removed and a new belly grafted in. They have all read cut the belly out of a KC-97.
