I know it's no big deal to most of y'all, but to see this much snow in Midland, TX this morning was something a bit unusual.....

Hey Gary...if I didn't know any better I would've thought that picture was taken up here in Wisconsin! Just make sure you don't let the hanger cats out in that cold snow too long...they probably aren't used to it.

My cats are used to the cold but they do have their "comfort zone". One of them wanted to go out this morning so as usual I obliged. After sniffing the cold -2 degree temp outside and making a few kitty paw prints in the snow it was time to come in. Total elapsed time outside...about 45 seconds!

My kitty learned not to go outside his first christmas with us, he managed to get himself in between the front door and the screen door, after a few minutes we heard him complaining, he hasnt wanted to go outside since.

yesterday a Cessna 152 on tie down in front of my hangar had its nose in the air tail on the ground from the weight of the ice at Boerne Stage Field (San Antonio). Not used to that picture. Lesson learned ...don't be such a tightwad and pay for hangar rent.

Yes it is a flyer. The only one left in airworthy condition. Sadly though, it'll make one last flight this summer, back to England, where they'll never allow it to fly again. They're having to get a special waiver just to bring it into the country.

The owners have suggested a donation to a U.S. museum in the past, but in my recent efforts to contact them about it, I've gotten nowhere. They seem to be content with it being parked forever. I'm sure our British friends will enjoy seeing it over there, but it's just sad that it'll not be allowed to fly agan once it lands there. That's the way I understand it anyway.
