Rex T. Barber Memorial Bridge

Tue Jan 16, 2007 7:16 pm

In case anyone is interested, the new (as of a couple of years ago) bridge that crosses the Crooked River on Highway 97 in Central Oregon was named in honor of Rex Barber of the "P-38 Admiral Yamamoto Mission" fame.

I know that this isn't exactly news, but I check the roadcams in this area every day or two and see his namesake bridge.Rex was a resident of Central Oregon.

Here's a link to the roadcams:

Scroll down to 'US 97"
