Thanks for posting our webpage on A/C Herzog!
I can tell you, we have come up with some additional leads by using genealogy web forums ... attempting to track down surviving family. But nothing solid yet. His mother appears to have been twice-married, he may have a half-brother. Problem is, the very elderly half-brother was in New Orleans -- and there is no answer at their telephone for obvious reasons (Katrina!).
We are continuing our letter campaign with the US govt as well.
As of today though we do not know what became of Cadet Herzog. Any help or ideas on where to proceed would be very much appreciated!
